Benzinga is a rapidly growing FinTech company. I was a flown out this week to SF to cover the event. I tweeted throughout each panel to give a unique perspective of real time happenings.

Dear Family and Friends,
I am so excited to announce that I will be graduating with the Class of 2017 this spring. It has been a fast three years, but I have learned more than I could have ever imagined. Chapman University has taught me not only to grow as an academic but as an individual. I started out at the University studying English Literature, but through encounters with peers and professors I decided to focus specifically on Creative Writing and minor in Integrated Education Studies (with a focus of nonprofit and grant writing). It has been one of the best decisions of my life. In the fifth grade I decided to be a writer. I have pursued that ever since. My parents, Joanne and Jim, have fully supported me every step of the way. I feel so fortunate to have a family that supports the arts. Creative Writing made me passionate and driven in school, which I suppose is why I am graduating in three years. So what is next for me, you might wonder? I plan to spend a year trying out different career options and traveling. I hope to get some of my work published in literary journals. I also hope to dip my feet into the world of grant writing, copy editing, and screenwriting. I might even try out substitute teaching. Once I know what I love the most, I will go for my masters. I would like the door to graduation to be open so that I can experience all that is offered. Thank you to everyone who has supported me! Love, Claire One of the most important steps of becoming a college freshman is making your dorm room homey. I know that my future is out of my hands. I cannot predict it.. i think this is what most freshman fear. (will I make friends? will the classes be manageable?) One thing we can do is decorate our dorms. I know for me this took a lot of the freshman jitters away. At the end of the day I knew I had a place to just relax! Go ahead and check out my room. |
